We want to raise awareness about the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Too many people have already died from the Ebola virus. As the virus is transmitted through body fluids, you will often hear people saying “don’t touch!” these days. Shoot a video of how you greet each other without touching. Share the video on your profiles on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. Copy this text and nominate all your friends for the #ebolahandshake.

Why the #ebolahandshake?
The West African country Sierra Leone has been suffering from the devastating effects of the Ebola virus for the past months. Too many people have already died from the virus. As the virus is transmitted through body fluids, you will often hear people saying “don’t touch!” these days; try to avoid any skin contact to avoid an infection. With this challenge, we want to raise awareness for the terrible conditions in Sierra Leone as
for weeks the virus keeps spreading and the number of infected persons isn’t decreasing
many doctors and health care workers have been infected and killed by the virus; access to medical care for other disease like malaria has become very limited
trade in the whole area is stagnating, leading to many people suffering from hunger

Who is behind the challenge?
